Faith Story

Although I grew up Christian, I did not consider myself to have a personal relationship with Jesus until I was in college.  My debt situation had overwhelmed me despite all my personal efforts to change my situation.  On my knees and through tears I asked God for help not knowing what else to do.  It was then he placed on my heart to tithe and trust in Him.  I admit I found this insight odd at the time because my main problem (or so I thought) was that I didn’t have enough money to meet all my bills and now I would have less.  The real problem was that I needed to be obedient to God and place my faith in Him.

Introduction

I am a follower of Jesus. My purpose in life, for the glory of God, is to serve others by encouraging hope. My vision is to help people make decisions that result in fewer regrets. My primary God given talents are discernment, empathy, advocacy, and getting things done. A career in human resources has allowed me to leverage my talents and refine my skills serving as a coach, counselor, advocate, and mentor.

I have always wanted an opportunity where my God given talents and skills developed in the marketplace converge to overtly help organizations further God’s kingdom. In December 2021, I voluntarily left my job, in a step of faith, to pursue more meaningful work. Since that time, I have continued to pray for clarity/wisdom and seek wise counsel as to my next position that can fulfill my life’s purpose and vision.
