Where you fit in
The Kids Lead & Ministry Coordinator will lead out two areas of The Crossing Midtown’s ministry. First, as the Kids Lead you are responsible to develop and maintain a safe, disciple-making environment for kids and families. As the ministry coordinator you will provide administrative support, leadership of volunteers, and coordination for general ministry.

What you’ll be doing
Kids Lead
- Equip and train leaders with tools and resources to lead in Kids Crossing
- Identify and recruit high capacity leaders and utilize their gifts within the ministry
- Train and disciple leaders in the areas of spiritual growth, competencies, and leadership
- In collaboration with the Next Gen team, uphold and lead out the safety & security policies and procedures for Kids Crossing
- Identify and celebrate wins with students, parents and leaders
- Ensure weekly volunteer scheduling
Primary Parent Partner
- Provide care to families at Midtown
- Connect with parents to build bridges between church and home
- Provide resources to kids and parents that will encourage spiritual growth through life application
- Help identify & execute various areas of outreach strategies to families in the community at Midtown
Ministry Coordinator
- Assist in managing the ministry team calendar and room scheduling
- Purchase items for ministries and the campus as needed
- Assist in contacting, scheduling, training and leading new and potential volunteers
- Assist pastors/team leads with receipts and budget monitoring
- Perform general office duties such as copying, filing, mailing, etc.
- Answer / return phone calls and emails as requested
- Organize workflow and synchronize between Google Docs, Rock and other essential systems
- Respond to all general ministry questions, both internally and externally, via phone and email
- Ensure Reach Cafe team is equipped, scheduled and cared for
- Point person on specific Midtown events including coordinating with other teams, vendors, and volunteers
- Run errands as needed
General
- Ordering, cleaning, and restocking the Green Room & Break Room
- Other related duties as needed
What you’ll bring to the team
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma
- Minimum Experience: Two years in professional administrative/coordinator or kids ministry role
- Demonstrates strong technology experience (Gmail, Google Docs, Word, Excel, Rock, etc.)
- Preferred Experience: Three years in an equivalent church setting or non-profit organization
- Preferred Skills: Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
- Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States
