Elementary Pastor
Kingdom One is partnered with a discipleship focused church located in Westlake Village, CA that is looking to grow their team by adding an Elementary Pastor!
Vision for this role
The Elementary Pastor will work alongside the Family ministry team in discipling children and their families to Live and Love like Jesus.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a grace-filled disposition to minister and support families and kids (birth -5th grade).
- Can facilitate engaging weekend and midweek campus activities using the Orange curriculum.
- Can be a direct report to the Elementary Volunteer Coordinator and Family Ministry Midweek Coordinator.
- Can work closely with the Early Childhood Director on FX live events (all family monthly gatherings) and curriculum development.
- Can organize and put on several large events including Lunch on the Lawn and Vacation Bible School (average 800 children yearly).
- Can oversee and manage 9 week summer camp, including hiring, disciplinary issues and parent concerns.
- Can work closely with the Special Abilities Ministry on successful integration of all children with varying disabilities.
- Will participate in leadership gatherings with other Ministry area Pastors and Directors.
- Places a high value on relationships.
- Will recruit, encourage, train, and equip volunteer teams to support Children’s ministry.
- Will lead the implementation of a world class, fun, safe & spiritually powerful Children’s ministry.
- Will become an attending and active member in the body of this church.

- Seeks a closer walk with God through grace, prayer, study of God’s word, and accountability partner(s).
- Is a good steward of his/her time, talent, and treasure.
- Is a role model that is relevant to the Christian and pre-Christian alike (Galatians 5:22-26; Romans 12:9-18; Matthew 5:13-16; Ephesians 6:5-9).
- Will contribute to the staff team spirit through fellowship, encouragement, cooperation, prayer support, and accountability (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12; Romans 15:1-2; Colossians 3:16).
- Complies with the church’s policies and procedures and be accountable for the proper and timely implementation of these policies and procedures
