Social Media Coordinator/Graphic Designer
Kingdom One is partnered with a missions focused church located in the South Bay area of Los Angeles to add a highly gifted and experienced Social Media Coordinator to their Communications team!
Vision for the role: The Social Media Coordinator manages the social media platforms for the church through planning, strategizing, copywriting, and online community management.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Loves to use creative ways to create high impact content that aligns with the church branding and style.
- Is gifted in graphic design with a great aesthetic eye.
- Can successfully manage time, workflow, and schedule to adhere to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Possesses a high level of understanding of popular social networks – design, features, functionality, users, etc.
- Loves working in a team as much as you love working online.
- Is creative, passionate and energetic about excellence.
- Has at least two years of relevant social media marketing and design experience, preferably in a church or ministry environment.
- Is experienced with using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat) and MAC operating systems.
- Is an excellent communicator – verbally and in writing.
- Strong faith and familiarity with online discipleship and spiritual growth through social media.
- Is ready and willing to become invested in this church as your church home.
What you’ll do:
- Manage social platforms including ideation, writing, scheduling, and posting content.
- Design, capture and edit graphics and video content to highlight church values, upcoming events, sermon topics, and spiritual growth.
- Consult and assist other departments to maintain a cohesive brand across all church accounts.
- Clearly communicate with copy that aligns with the style and vision of the church.
- Create and drive social media plans and content calendars, including developing campaigns.
- Collaborate with the Communications Team in brainstorming and developing creative projects.
- Oversee community engagement on all social channels, including responding to questions, comments and direct messages.
- Develop and execute digital marketing plans, social media strategy, identify strategic weaknesses, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Monitor trends in social media, including tools and applications.
- Foster a collaborative relationship with our photography volunteers and create a “shot list” of needed photos.
- Organize and manage photo assets and cloud storage.
- Assist in maintaining the church website and event calendar and update web graphics as needed.
- Assist the Communications Team in creating print and digital designs and resources.
