Children & Adult Ministries Director
Kingdom One is partnered with a conservative First Methodist church located in Carrollton, Texas whose mission is to create a community connected to God and others. This ministry is looking for their next Children & Family Min Director.
Vision for the role:
The Children and Adult Ministries Director will encompass a focus on the growth of both the children and adult ministries of the church with an emphasis on attracting and engaging young families. The ideal candidate has a heart for discipleship and the community. This is a full-time, 40-hour/week position reporting to the Associate Pastor.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about the spiritual development of children and adults.
- Has experience identifying talent and giftings imperative to the success of the children and adult ministries.
- Is organized and manages time effectively.
- Is a proven leader and team builder of staff and volunteers.
- Is experienced as a strong communicator both verbally and in writing.
- Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s level education degree in Christian Education, Biblical Studies, or related field.
- 5 + years experience as a teacher or administrator in public or private education, or experience in a similar church capacity.
- A solid Christian faith and ability to articulate that faith; a basic knowledge of the Wesleyan theology.
- Ready and willing to become invested in this church as your church home.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement discipleship programs for children and adults.
- Plan and supervise specific programming within the children and pre-teen ministries, i.e. Vacation Bible School, Confirmation Sunday, Second Grade Bible presentation, and more.
- Recruit, train, and provide support to leaders for Sunday classes, Wednesday evening classes, and core groups.
- Oversee and support the Children’s Fine Arts Director and the Nursery Director.
- Coordinate logistics (budget, curriculum, supplies, and resource materials).
