High School Director
Kingdom One is partnered with an oiko-centric evangelical church located in the High Desert area of Southern California that prepares every generation to change their worlds for Christ. We’re looking for their next High School Director to join their team.
Vision for the role
The High School Director will provide spiritual leadership for Student Ministries in terms of providing compelling, equipping programming that further develops middle and high school students’ lives. You will work alongside a strong Student Ministries Team across multiple campuses and help volunteer ministry leaders grow & connect. You will also partner with parents to prepare students and provide opportunities for them to change their worlds for Jesus.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is energetic and passionate – can’t get enough of Student Ministries.
- Is highly relational and is warm and engaging.
- Values humor and thinks about how to have fun.
- Is extremely collaborative and able to foster strong relationships.
- Is organized and has the ability to plan.
- Can provide structure, delegate and supervise.
- Can teach the Bible & handle questions about faith.
- Isn’t afraid to navigate conflict with students and parents.
- Is ready to recruit, train and equip a team of volunteers.
- Has ministry experience, preferably in a church context.
- Is a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ with well-established patterns of personal prayer and Bible study.
- Is committed to discipleship, desiring that believers continually mature in their relationship with Christ.
High School Director Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a Student Ministry strategy to build up High School students to strengthen relationships with others and most importantly, Jesus.
- Ensure quality programming to equip and empower them to be a Jesus influence in their relational world.
- Provide regular, quality enrichment and training opportunities for student ministry volunteer leaders.
- Take leadership responsibilities that are aligned with strategic planning steps and goals.
